I know! It's been too long. Not too long since you read my editor's letter, after all this is my first ever here on Flingly. But I'm talking about my general abscence at Flingly.

Unfortunately, fashion hasn't been on my top priority lately due to sickness. My back killed me three weeks ago, and along went every ounce of fashion inspiration and sense. Two weeks practically non-stop lying in bed has been mostly boring, but also a lot less laundry to do. My bed outfits have consisted mostly of comfortable tees, knits and tights - whenever the pyjamas wasn't around. Comfortable was one issue, another issue was getting help to get dress or undress. If this is how it is to turn old, I'm not looking forward to my eigthies.

Luckily, life has gone back to almost normal, at least fashion wise. Since I managed to put on my own socks without help or pain, I've gone back to having fun with clothes. So much new inspiration everywhere. Browsing too much on Instagram and trying to keep up with all the fashion weeks yet, is one factor. Another factor is the shops that are starting to fill up with news of a promising spring. Bright colors, pretty pastels, new materials, metallics, light-weight shoes, transparent blouses and etc. I think this might be one of my favorite spring seasons ever. It's this great mix of chic, romantic, preppy, bold and glam.

When I went out on Saturday, I felt like embrassing my new found inspiration. For this big night out with my colleagues, I went for some sparkle and bright orange. I wore sparkly glitter trousers by H&M Trend, transparent white blouse by Bik Bok, embellished collar necklace by River Island, orange cropped blazer by H&M and black patent heels by Buffalo. My curls aren't natural and neither is the make-up.

Let's hope my back is getting better for each day, which again means I will be back from the bed-dead and publish new articles in the future. I have a few up my sleeve already, like a mini-portrait with the great photographer Haakon Hoseth and my upcoming article about the windy road to becoming a successful fashion stylist.
